Story

Daniel Orgelbrand is a Viennese stand-up comedian. He cherishes his problems with his girlfriends and parents - in a way that is normally unadapted. But he can not break free from the shadow of his sister, Hannah, who died at the age of seven in a concentration camp. Daniel's guilt goes so far as to assume the identity of Hannah for his sorrowful mother. When he falls in love with the American Lilian, who apparently is not chased by European twentieth-century nightmares, he realizes he has to get rid of Hannah. Lilian gets pregnant, and there is a dramatic confrontation between the living and the dead.
